The project Identities is born as a journey of continuous self-discovery and expression. Understanding stressful feelings and emotions and rebuilding them in tangible scenery, this work produces tense and almost dangerous imagery inspired by the fascination of the subjective nature of emotions and feelings. The surroundings and the experiences that make us feel pain and joy, experiences that make us feel alive and question ourselves “Who am I?” “What made me who am I?” “Who do I want to be?”. The project invites the spectator to reflect on their own life experiences, especially those that make us grow the most, the painful ones. Thus, making emphasis on the importance of living our life, with everything it comes with, every day.

To build the images, the scenes are planned as if they were theater scenarios, using props like fabrics, plastic, wood, dyes, threat, etc. Transforming the feelings into something palpable and visible.

Identities is a collection of photographs that at first glance appear to have no logical order, just like daily mood swings. Each image takes place in a structure guided by the golden ratio and Fibonacci number (Value that represents the geometry of nature), giving order to what had no order. Our emotions.
